a national model for aging and disability resources. By combining online assistance with a network of volunteers, SeniorNavigator brings over 21,000 health and aging resources to seniors, caregivers, adults with disabilities and their families. SeniorNavigator is a public/private partnership with the Commonwealth of Virginia, Virginia Department for the Aging, local governments, and hundreds of private sector partners. The Virginia Insurance Counseling and Assistance Program (VICAP) provides personalized counseling and assistance to Virginia’s approximately 1.1 million Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers who often need help navigating the increasingly complex health care system.

VICAP provides accurate, understandable, and objective information, counseling, and assistance to Medicare beneficiaries on a wide range of health insurance issues, including Medicare, Medicaid, long-term care, and prescription drugs.

So whether you are wondering when you need to sign up for a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan or whether long-term care insurance might be a wise investment based on your situation, you can count on VICAP to be a trusted source of information and guidance.
